Video Transcript for Review of CE Smith Boat Trailer Parts - Galvanized Angle Bracket Boat Trailer Roller - CE10211G

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at the CE Smith galvanized steel, side angle mounting brackets for boat trailer rollers. Now, this pair of L-shaped brackets make it simple to mount a roller precisely where you need it on your boat trailer. These L-shaped brackets accommodate a variety of different roller lengths, such as four inches, five inches, eight inches, 10 inches, 12 inches, and 18 inch long rollers that take a half inch diameter shaft. These mount to your boat trailer's frame or tongue.

And they are made in the USA of sturdy, seven-gauge galvanized steel construction that's gonna resist rust and corrosion. Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically three millimeters to five millimeters thick. And this thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding. Let me pull out my ruler here and just give you some overall measurements.

I'm gonna be measuring the inside length of the longer side of this bracket first. So, I put my ruler up there and it looks like we're sitting at about 2 1/2 inches long. And that width, we are sitting at an inch and a half. And then the inside length on the shorter part of this bracket, we are sitting right at an inch and a half. And again, the width is going to be the same as well by inch and a half.

The diameter of these holes are 3/8 of an inch. And you will receive one pair of these brackets. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.

Thank you for joining me..

Still holding up

Upon placing an order i had not received tracking number of shipment and called to see where order was after 7 days. While there was some confusion they found the problem that supplier was no longer making a stainless light bracket and originally said they were 2 more weeks out on getting the powder coated ones. 3 days later may shipment was received in full with everything. Even though there was an error in the order at least you could contact someone and get immediate assistance. This will be my first choice for parts as they have given great service on all my previous orders as well. Keep up the great service hard to find these days.

by:

I purchased these two bracket sets for a purpose other than what they are intended for. Nevertheless, I am very pleased with the strength and galvanize finish on them. Items were delivered in short order and I have already used them for my own special application. I am very please with your products and service.

  • Recommended Bracket and Roller Shaft For Yates Side Guide Roller 12 Inches Long
The Yates Side Guide Roller for Boat Trailers - Heavy-Duty Rubber - 12" Long - 1/2" Shaft # YR12243-4P is compatible with the CE Smith Side Angle Mounting Brackets for Boat Trailer Rollers - Galvanized Steel - 1 Pair # CE10211G. Then you may be able to use the Roller Shaft with Pal Nuts for Boat Trailer Rollers - Zinc-Plated Steel - 12-3/4" x 1/2" # CE10705A although it doesn't give much space. A better option is to use the Yates Side Guide Roller for Boat Trailers - Heavy-Duty Rubber...

  • Replacement Keel Roller Brackets for a Tee Nee Boat Trailer with 3 Inch Rollers
The 3 inch rubber bow roller, # YR3143-4, that you referenced is typically used at the front of the boat near the winch. The rollers that are usually used in the middle and rear are keel rollers. Often times, the v shape of the 3 inch bow roller is too deep for the middle or rear end of a boat hull. I did some research on your Tee Nee trailer and it looks like there are a few different styles that will affect the type of brackets that you will use. If you have frame rails that run perpendicular...

  • What is Diameter is the Center Hole for Yates Boat Trailer Roller # YR4163-4P
Yes the Yates roller, # YR4163-4P, does indeed have an approximate 1/2 inch diameter center hole for use with a 1/2 inch shaft. You mentioned that you have a shaft already but if you determine you need a new one use # CE10700A which also comes with new pal nuts. If you determine you also need mounting brackets you can use # CE10211G or # CE10300G.

  • Mounting Hole Distance to Bottom of Bracket on CE Smith Side Angle Mounting Brackets # CE10211G
The center of the holes on the CE Smith Side Angle Mounting Brackets # CE10211G that you referenced are 2-1/4 inches above the mounting surface. Since the diameter of the roller gets split on either side of it a 4 inch diameter roller would be about as big as I'd recommend.

  • Is Boat Trailer Roller Bracket Available For Rollers That Use 5/8 Inch Shaft
The Side Angle Mounting Brackets for Boat Trailer Rollers, part # CE10211G, you referenced have a 3/8 inch hole used for attaching boat trailer roller shafts. Drilling the hole out on this bracket could compromise the integrity of the bracket and would not be recommended. We do have brackets that may work for you if you have the mounting space available. They are part # CE10500G. The mounting slots on these brackets are 1/2 in wide x 5 in tall.

  • Can Hole be Enlarged on CE Smith Boat Trailer Roller Brackets for a 5/8 Inch Diameter Shaft
Generally speaking, it is not recommended to bore out the holes on the roller brackets # CE10211G because doing so could weaken the brackets. Adjustable mounting bracket # CE32004G would be a much better option. We also have # MBSPB as a possible option.

  • Can the CE Smith Mounting Brackets for Boat Trailer Rollers # CE10211G be Used with 12 Inch Roller
The CE Smith Side Angle Mounting Brackets for Boat Trailer Rollers # CE10211G that you referenced is designed to be used on rollers designed for 1/2 inch diameter shafts. I did a little searching and it looks like the Stoltz is designed for a 5/8 inch shaft. You could use a 1/2 shaft with that roller though and it would be compatible with the # CE10211G. For a similar 12 inch roller that we carry you could get the Boat Trailer 12 inch Long Keel Roller # DL21728.

  • 1983 Tee Nee Trailer for a Flying Scot Sailboat Keel Roller Option
From past customers we have found that the TeeNee trailers use a three inch keel roller like the part # YR300Y. That being said I would need to see a picture of your setup to give you the best options we have. I did some research on your Tee Nee trailer and it looks like there are a few different styles that will affect the type of brackets that you will use. If you have frame rails that run perpendicular to the boat, then I recommend using a set of angle mounting brackets like part...

  • Roller Recommendation for Guiding a 2 inch Wide Strap on Boat Trailer
The best roller for your needs would be the # YR5203-4P this has an overall length of 5 inches so it would work well for a 2 inch wide strap to roll on the inner part of it. The overall diameter of the roller is 3 inches which is pretty close to what you need. It's designed to roll on a 1/2 inch shaft like part # CE10701A. For a bracket you could use the panel bracket part # CE10301G or the angle brackets part # CE10211G. Check out the review video I attached.

  • Can the Yates Rubber Y-Style Bow Stop fit in a CE Smith Panel Bracket
The Yates bow stop # YR4Y22-3 has a base that is 2 inches x 2 inches and a 4-inch span. The base will be to small to work with the panel bracket # CE10300G because the panel bracket is designed to work with 4-inch rollers. The inside width of the panel bracket # CE10300G is 4-1/4 inches. I included a diagram of the Yates rubber Y-style bow stop # YR4Y22-3 for you as well.
